Melissa A. Brooks
Bio
Mrs. Brooks currently specializes in Estate Planning, Business Planning, and Guardianship (for both adult and minors).
As an Equal Justice Works attorney and Staff Attorney at Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, Mrs. Brooks served low-income and senior clients with consumer (Chapter 7 bankruptcy), estate planning, guardianship, family and other elder law-related needs for five years. Additionally, she served as the Pro Bono Coordinator for the Oklahoma City office of Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma.
Following her tenure at Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma has held many titles throughout her career as a Solo Practitioner, Director at the Oklahoma Access to Justice Foundation, and, Associate Attorney in both the private and public law sectors. She has, also, contributed content and many volunteer hours to the community and is published in the Oklahoma Bar Journal.
Mrs. Brooks earned her Juris Doctorate. at the OCU School of Law with a certificate in Wills, Trusts and Estates (Estate Planning) with Taxation and her undergraduate degree in Political Science with an Emphasis in pre-law from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
She is an admitted member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, and the Western District of Oklahoma.
